Do you play with or against the odds?

Do you go for the higher paying, harder to get cards or do you follow the logic of the math - and choose based on a higher likelihood of getting a win - for lesser payout ?

Sometimes I play it against the odds.. if you do this..more satisfaction of your self if you get ..or win

usually the math makes things bright and shiny, but when fate deems the math unacceptable , i play  feelings , sometimes feeling ,other times in my feelings... usually with the odds.
